The purpose of the program is to simply help people find a bearing and start again. Sometimes we follow a path in life or are dealt an uncertain and difficult hand, but by taking the time to learn how to navigate well, where we are, and who we are, we can begin to unravel the question of where we want to go...
Our curriculum is designed to be a hands-on and interactive course covering the practice of effective goal setting and follow through while helping gather a starting point to an individual's emotional tendencies and learning styles. You will find a conversationally safe space while we use nature's beauty and uncertainty as our examples to life and arena for getting unplugged from all the societal and social burdens and reengaged again. We can’t tell you what to do with your life, but we can teach you how to read a compass and believe you can find the way!
Spend a day aboard our ship Dubloon in a unique way to develop the skills of short-term and long-term goal setting, reinforced through group activities and reflection exercises. Attendees will work collaboratively on identifying and describing personal goals, sources of motivation, limiting patterns, and tools for resilience and persistence. Everyone on board gets a job and helps navigate across Lake Lanier by making decisions and accomplishing objectives. Through this process and application to real-world life events, we can help create actionable steps towards reaching for a new path.
