We are located roughly 57 miles Northeast of Atlanta, where Lake Lanier is a primary water supply to metro Atlanta and the Chattahoochee river basin down stream to Apalachicola Florida.
Our Missions:
(a)Assisting boaters in emergency situations with our “on the water” Operations Department
(b)Teaching Safe Boating practices with current Coast Guard approved Public Education criteria
(c)Performing Vessel Safety Checks to ensure boat owners have met Federal and State requirements
(d)Promoting Marine Safety and Environmental Protection efforts such as aids to navigation inspection and lake shore clean-up projects.
(e)Participating at Boat Shows, and Public Affairs events promoting the Coast Guard and the Auxiliary
(f)Providing Recreational Boating Safety values and principles to the general boating public
(g)Providing safety Radio Watch Standers from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekends
